Political Worldviews on Humanity
One’s view of morality impacts how one behaves & treats others. And their view of the human race in general has a large influence on how one deals with personal or societal issues.
Democratic View: People are viewed in a naturalistic sense such that people are essentially just physical & their behavior is primarily influenced by their physical environment. The right cultural environment needs to be provided so that individuals can express their right to live out their desires (self-actualization) which they cannot control. Therefore, attacks on someone’s desires are equated to attacks on the person. Desires are not inherently right or wrong, but just need expressed in a manner that benefits society. However, societal benefits are more important than individual benefits.
To change someone’s behavior, you just change their physical environment or situation (i.e. remove guns from society to prevent murders). The primary change agent is the government which is obligated to allow everyone’s self-actualization (rights) so long as they don’t hinder progress towards utopia which is determined by the government & is dominated by the sense that everyone needs equalized (i.e. equality, fairness, tolerance, diversity, multi-cultural & amnesty issues) – the key moral basis for behavioral & society change. This drives intense & exclusive focus towards externals like class, race, gender, sexuality & ethnicity where conflict, demonization & victimization become powerful political tools for change. To further equalization, it strives to condense citizens into a middle (working) class & seeks ways to mitigate the upper class (i.e. increase taxes) & the lower class (i.e. promote Planned Parenthood for abortions in poor neighborhoods - class eugenics). The central government is to manage the working class towards its utopian vision. Any perceived barrier is considered hostile (i.e. traditional morality, enforcing borders, American exceptionalism, individual exceptionalism, successful free enterprises, etc).
Republican View: All people are created by God with inherent worth, having both physical & spiritual aspects (dualistic). Consequently, behavior is affected by both physical & spiritual influences. While all people have inherent value, all people are also morally corrupted such that not all desires are good & some should therefore be restrained. Good behavior occurs when people live out good desires; bad behavior occurs when people live out bad desires. One can have all good physical influences & still succumb to bad spiritual influences (which do not have to be taught). One can have mostly bad physical influences & still prevail through good spiritual influences & transcendent principles (i.e. honesty, hard work, kindness, wisdom, etc). Bad desires & bad behavior can be combatted while respecting & supporting the person having them (i.e. it is actually loving to confront detrimental behaviors of alcoholism, lying, homosexuality, etc).
When dealing with people, consideration should be given to both physical & spiritual aspects. People should be instructed & encouraged to live out their good desires & morals instituted by God. While some morality is fairly universally recognized because of everyone’s God-given conscience (i.e. murder & lying are bad), further moral instruction is ideally propagated by a truth-based religion & the family structure (i.e. the majority of those incarcerated did not have a father figure). Being religious, it is not to be mandated (established) by government, but at least unapologetically recognized & uninhibited – not hindered or harassed by the government (i.e. no church taxes or regulations contrary to their morality, no restriction of gathering).
Because businesses are led or owned by people & those people apply their beliefs to prosper their business, they should not be coerced by the government to compromise their morality or rights of conscience. Individuals & businesses should be given as much freedom as possible, restricted only by a reasonable laws & truth-based morality. Individuals & businesses should be discouraged from living out their bad desires in order to prevent harm (to self & others), exploitation, lawlessness & hedonism. Because of false beliefs & bad desires, it is necessary to lock doors, maintain borders, ensure legal entry of immigrants, discourage corruption (individual, corporate & government) & have law enforcement & military.
