God and nothing;
Then, spoken existence. Life breathed down; Love, color, senses. One rule given; Two kinds of tree. Now very good; What’ll it be? Fruit filled bough; Straining, hanging. Branch pulled low; Ripe and dangling. Musing is she, In front of him. All the sudden, The snap of a stem… Down with the fruit. Down with life. Down with the man. Down with his wife. Down with us all. Down with me. Down we go, With gravity. What’s at the bottom? What’s at the end? Will it ever stop? Will it ever end? Nothing we can do. No stopping death. No way out. Except, unless… God reaches down, To intervene. Does something, We’d never seen. Became a man; Christ to descend. Took the fall; Put an end to sin. Offers salvation; Life to us all. Simply just. Answer the call. |

Therefore Jesus said again, “I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. - Jn 10.7-10
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. - Php 2.5-11 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. - Rev 3.20 |
