Challenge!
There is so much information out there & unfortunately, much of it can be useless, deceiving or worst of all, harmful. Information is available through many means - word-of-mouth, books, newspapers, internet, TV, radio & various other media sources. How can you know which one to believe? Can they be trusted? Is there truth? Can it be known?
These are all important questions to ask & they should be asked! Especially when it comes to life & death issues. Other questions that should be asked about the information we are receiving might be: Who is the source? Is there an ulterior motive behind it? Does it line up with reality? Can I verify it by other means? Is it beneficial? Do I have a biased opinion about it?
I challenge you to ask questions & question the answers! Even about information on this website! This website will be periodically updated, so come back & visit often! Check out the "Got Questions?" page to see if there's a question you've had that's already been addressed. And there's a place to submit questions as well.
When answering questions, please understand that as a Christian I will use support from the Bible as I believe it reveals things from God that we would otherwise have no way of knowing. The Bible states it is true (Ps 33.4, Prov 30.5) & if it is, reality will line up with it & provide additional support. God is logical, gave us logic & calls us to use it (Isa 1.18). You certainly don’t have to check your brain at the door when you become a Christian. Quite the opposite (Mk 12.30). The Bible also has much to say about wisdom, knowledge & understanding (Prov 9.10). When properly understood, Christianity is more logical & comprehensive than any other “religion”. But, please don't misunderstand, you don't have to have "special" knowledge or be a seminary graduate or clergy to become a Christian (Acts 4.13). You only need to know the Gospel & believe with the humble faith of a child (Rom 1.16, Mt 18.2-4)!
God is trustworthy & the Bible is the only 100% true & reliable source that He has given us for information about Himself & all things spiritual. From it, we know that God has our best interests in mind & that it is impossible for Him to lie. He wants us to know certain things & ultimately to know Him. That's why He gave us the Bible!!!
Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
- God in Jeremiah 33.3
